Killington Resort opens November 3, 2023 for its 65th Season

Vermont's Killington Resort, the largest ski and snowboard destination in Eastern North America, and part of POWDR, will kick off the 2023-24 winter season at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023, becoming the first resort in Vermont to open for skiing and snowboarding.

The first turns of the season on November 3 will be reserved exclusively for Killington Season Pass, Beast 365 and Ikon pass holders. The resort will open to the general public on Saturday, November 4 at 9:00 a.m. and will remain open 7 days a week, weather permitting.

"What better way to kick off our 65th season than an early November opening," says Mike Solimano, president and general manager of Killington Resort and Pico Mountain. "We are very excited to get back to skiing and riding and thrilled to support several great charities in lieu of an opening day gift for passholders this year as part of our Play Forever pledge."

On November 3, the K-1 Express Gondola and North Ridge Quad, will provide access to Rime and Reason for skiers and snowboarders from 10:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. Skiing and snowboarding will be on advanced terrain only, with a Woodward Mountain Park in the North Ridge area on Reason. Walking will be required on the Peak Walkway to enter and exit skiable terrain. Early season conditions exist, and snowmaking and other on-mountain operations may be in progress throughout the day on open terrain.

Remaining a longstanding tradition, season pass holders are invited to enjoy free lunch on Opening Day at the K-1 Lodge, Peak Lodge, or the Subie Shack (located at the bottom of the North Ridge Quad) as a show of gratitude for their commitment to Killington Resort. Opening day skiers and riders will also be able to choose from one of three charities – Burton Chill, Yes Kids and The Snow Angel Foundation – and Killington Resort will donate $10 in their honor.

Killington's ops team is simultaneously prepping for the Stifel Killington Cup over Thanksgiving Weekend with top-to-bottom snowmaking on Superstar while conditions allow. Tickets for the event are available now at Killington.com/worldcup.

Base Lodge Access & Available Services

Lift tickets for Saturday and beyond will be available for purchase online beginning Thursday, November 2 at 2:00 p.m. All lift tickets and rentals must be purchased online, in advance or day of, at Killington.com. Kiosks are located inside the K-1 Lodge. Season Passes can be picked up from any kiosk with the barcode you received and Snowshed Lodge tickets will be open Thursday, November 2 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for pass assistance.

Food and beverages will be available at the K-1 Lodge, Peak Lodge and Subie Shack at the base of the North Ridge Quad.

Opening Day is reserved for Killington Season Pass, Beast 365 and Ikon Pass Holders. Children ages 6 and under will receive a Kids Ski Free ticket if accompanied by a season pass holder. No other passes, tickets, vouchers or reciprocal discounts will be accepted.
