The Mountain and the Ski Trails

There is a large variety of trails for the beginner right up to the most expert skier. Bretton Woods consists of 3 summits; Rosebrook, Stickney, and West Mountain. Most of the easier and intermediate trails are in the Rosebrook area, where the more challenging glades are found on the West Mountain area, and some on Rosebrook. The Learning Zone is in a separate area just to the left of the chalet where there is a fixed grip Quad chair and 2 wonder carpets. A nice easy area away from the fast-paced skier. There are some intermediate-level glades on the Mount Stickney area served by the Telegraph T-bar. There are some nice easy cruisers like The Ben trails just off from the Bethlehem Quad chair. The Ben trails are Bigger Ben, at the top of the lift, Big Ben which is the middle section, and Ben to take you back to the bottom. Rangeview is another nice cruiser that is under the Zephyr Quad chair. Fabyan's Express, Crawford's Blaze, No Regrets, Oscar Barron's, and the Panorama/2 Miles home trails are some of the nice intermediate runs, and for the experts, you have the Waumbek, Bode's Run, Zealand and the Snake. Recently a Gondola has been installed to whisk you up the mountain from the base to the summit. In the chalet, you have the ski rentals and repair shop, on the lower level. On the main floor is the Customer Service desk, boutique, and Lucy Crawford's Foodcourt to grab a quick bite to eat. There is plenty of seating to find a place to take a break. At the mountain, there is also the Latitude 44 Restaurant found just off the top of the Bethlehem Quad chair, and the Slopeside Restaurant and Pub as other options. For later dining, there is the Mount Washington hotel and the Bretton Arms Inn.
