Club Mont Ste Marie Announces $747,000 Investment for Increased Snowmaking Capacity and Technology at Mont Ste-Marie


Major investment will lengthen the ski season for all alpine enthusiasts and enable aspiring athletes to train sooner and longer on the region's only FIS homologated Giant Slalom run.  Club Mont Ste Marie was pleased to announce today $747,000 in funding for snowmaking at the Mont Ste-Marie Ski Resort, including on the Dustin Cook run, in partnership with the Resort, Tourism Quebec and Tourism Outaouais.  This represents the second Phase of a multi-phase project to enhance the snowmaking capacity for the entire ski area and create a world-class racing and training facility at Mont Ste-Marie called the 'Dustin Cook Training Centre.' Windham Mountain Resort to Install High Speed Six Passenger Lift & Implement RFID Ticketing for 2018/2019 Season


A brand new, high speed, detachable six passenger chairlift will be installed at Windham Mountain Resort this summer. The new Doppelmayr lift will run from the base area to the summit, replacing the current Whistler Triple, better known as "F Lift". It will have a slope length of 5,105 feet, and an uphill capacity of 3,000 people per hour. The ride from base to summit on the new lift will be just under five and a half minutes. Removal of "F Lift" will begin in April and installation of the new lift in May. Whirlwind Express (A Lift), the high speed, detachable quad that runs alongside "F Lift", will remain in place and will run this summer, servicing the Windham Mountain Bike Park and skyrides. New Lift at Stoneham - Santa offers the ÉCLIPSE to skiers as a Christmas gift


This Saturday, on December 23rd, Santa Claus himself will deliver the Éclipse to Stoneham Mountain Resort's snow lovers. This new lift, a new fixed-grip quad chairlift with a loading conveyor belt, replaces the double lift La Bordée and the T-bar Le Chinook, respectively 50 and 32-year-old equipment. This investment will increase the speed of the ascent for this area, modernize the facilities of the mountain and better serve the skiable terrain, to the delight of skiers and snowboarders. The construction was announced last June by Stoneham and was delivered on December 14th by the manufacturer Doppleymayr, after 7 months of hard work and close collaboration. Sunday River Opens New $2.2 Million Spruce Peak Triple Chairlift
