Paul
Bromont Montagne has posted on their website some new features and improvements on the mountain for 2017-18. New LED lighting, reconfiguring and optimization of several trails, and a new snow park just to mention a few things. Check out the link below for additional details. https://skibromont.com/en/blog/ski/whats-new-winter-2017-2018
Shane
That's good news. I definitely like the electronic lift ticket upgrade. As to whether it will be like Le Massif or Saint-Sauveur with the gates we will have to wait and see. But it will definitely end the long ticket lineups for repeat visitors. LED lighting is very interesting. Surprising this hasn't already become widespread but I assume the cost makes it difficult, and with the amount of lights across a mountain even more so. Also very good to see that they will finally offer night skiing across all 7 sides, even if it's just for Nuits Blanches.
Gordo
Curious about the LED lights too. I know the film/movie industry is moving that way. In Ontario where the electrically rates are insane it would be worth it. Maybe Calibogie Peaks will follow.
Shane
I had heard a rumour last fall that Calabogie was going to be getting into night skiing this year. Although I have not seen anything on their website about it so maybe it will stay as just a rumour. Guess we will have to wait and see. I would assume if they did go ahead with night skiing they would start with lighting some of the trails to the right of the Solar Quad. Hopefully they do offer it one day. On a side note. They had some a survey a year ago on the future expansion possibilities for Calabogie and they mentionned a hybrid detachable lift to replace the Lakeview Quad as well as more trails past Black Donald’s and a new lift out there as well. I hope it will expand one day. Beautiful mountain with lots of growth potential.
