Mont Tremblant - Resort Village - Commercial Area Up for Sale

TVA is reporting that the Tremblant Resort Village's Commercial Area is up for sale.

Not totally clear if it is just the shops and restaurants or it includes the hotels that are part of those buildings.

While this doesn't appear to include select hotels such as the Fairmont or the Sommet des Neiges judging by the video overview, most of the main lodging options and their buildings are operated under different banners but ultimately fall under Tremblant's ownership. This is also where the shops and restaurants are, which according to the video includes 45 rental units, and adds up to an area of 134 579 sq feet.

What this sale all means is unclear. If it does sell, hopefully that influx of cash can be used to futher improve the mountain and increase lift capacity or replace low capacity lifts such as the Duncan, the Soleil to something newer, and maybe the TGV or Flying Mile with six-packs.

Of course, the development to Timber summit on Soleil should go ahead after having been announced several years back.

There is also a new residential development located between Porte du Soleil and the Soleil side, which will see new housing built and a new Doppelmayr quad chairlift and one ski trail for access. From the aerial image, this appears like it will be setup much like the existing housing and Porte du Soleil lift is. The new development is called L'Hymes du Tremble. The new lift is listed as being installed for 2023-2024, although whether it opens the next ski season is another matter.
