We finally have some news on the directives from the ASSQ, the Quebec Association of Ski Areas in Quebec for the upcoming 2020-21 season. We had all been anticipating this for sometime, and now it is available via the link below for details. It is mostly what we were expecting as most, if not all Quebec ski areas were publishing their safety guidelines prior to the formal announcement. We have been given the Green light to go ahead with the season! Please read the guidelines thoroughly to better understand the protocols are to prevent any unpleasant surprises.

This is fantastic news to see. It was long overdue to know what would be happening but now people can know what to expect and that the season will indeed go ahead.

I do appreciate that they will be logging all visitors to the mountain each day. Let's hope that things don't end prematurely like last season, and that people do follow the new guidelines and rules to keep everyone safe.

Safety is paramount and is the priority over the actual skiing at a time like this.

It is recommended that you also check your favorite mountains to see how they are planning to operate as details can vary from one mountain to another (lift capacity for example).

@Gordo I wonder these things as well. For the lift line perhaps they will assign someone at the start of the line to manage people instead of right before the groups of two, four and singles merge. Since this year there should really only be two lines, one for same-households, and one for singles (or four lines if you have lift access from both sides of the lift).

Double layer neck warmers, I'm still trying to understand what that means. Is it a gaiter with two layers? Or is it two separate gaiters?
