Only a few days left before the start of the 19th edition of the TREMBLANT INTERNATIONAL BLUES FESTIVAL, which runs from July 6 to 15. More than 120,000 visitors are expected again this year to take advantage of 150 free concerts performed on four different stages and various bars of the pedestrian village, at the Casino de Mont-Tremblant and even all the way to the village of Mont-Tremblant at the church by the shores of Lake Mercier for the last weekend of the Festival.
Blues, R & B, soul, classic rock, boogie-woogie and gospel will electrify the atmosphere of the pedestrian village for the 10-day Festival. Performances by artists from around the world will be held daily from 1 p.m. until late in the evening.
Canadian blues “Darling” Layla Zoe and the extraordinary 60-year-old guitarist, Debbie Davies, will launch this music celebration on the TELUS stage at Place St-Bernard, on Friday, July 6 at 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. respectively
THE MUSTS OF THE FESTIVAL
Normand Brathwaite, this edition’s spokesperson, will perform on the Volkswagen stage on July 11. Amongst others present at the Festival this year, Nanette Workman, Steve Hill, Nadja and Charlie Musselwhite will join the Alexis P. Suter Band, one of the most popular blues singer on the planet, Bettye LaVette, the venerable lady of Soul nominated at the Grammy Awards, the Carson Downey Band from Nova Scotia and one of Canada’s best Blues band as well as the 18-year-old rising star, Conor Gains, young guitar prodigy who has played with the BB King Allstars and the legendary Les Paul.
Myles Goodwyn and April Wine, the Royal Southern Brotherhood and The Lowrider Band will also offer great musical entertainment.
EXCLUSIVELY IN QUEBEC
The Festival will present, exclusively in Quebec, the legendary band Tower of Power with its 10 musicians and impressive rhythmic section including trumpets, trombones and saxophones. From Italy, Enrico Crivellaro, whose latest album Freewheelin’ was an absolute success, will also perform exclusively for the Festival.

L’AIRE DU BLUES
At l’Aire du Blues, you will find the Bistro SAQ and the official Festival boutique, the perfect spot to take part in workshops on tricks of the trade and hear various anecdotes from artists and musicians. Among others, James Johnson of the Super Chikan & The Fighting Cocks will unveil secrets of his famous handcrafted guitars.
On Saturday, July 14, audition for the Blues'araoke for a chance to perform live on stage with a band on Sunday, July 15 at noon at Place St-Bernard.
Visitors will also be able to purchase the Festival’s official garments and CDs at the boutique every day, from noon to 11 p.m.
